Type: Technology / Weaponry
Origin: Goldhelm Kingdom Primary Manufacturers: Hiypolis (Republic of Frada)
Power Source: Refined Solar Crystals (Fradan Coast)
Holo-tech is a sophisticated technology developed by the Goldhelm Kingdom to mimic the utility and lethality of magic without relying on arcane forces. It operates on the principle of "Hard Light"—a scientific method of condensing photons into a solid state to create physical mass.
Because the Goldhelms strictly ban traditional magic within their borders, Holo-tech serves as the foundation of their entire society, powering everything from their military conquest to daily transportation.
The core of all Holo-tech is the Refined Solar Crystal. These rare crystals are harvested exclusively from the ocean floor off the coast of the Republic of Frada.
Once mined, these crystals are processed in Ibeson's laboratories and in the industrial forges of Hiypolis. The crystals store immense amounts of solar energy, which the device then projects as "hard light." This allows a sword blade or a shield wall to materialize instantly and retract just as quickly.
Holo-tech usage is divided into two distinct tiers based on social status and utility.
High-output gear used by the Auric Vanguard (Goldhelm Military) and the Republic of Frada armed forces.
Weaponry: Projectors create razor-sharp edges of hard light for swords, spears, and war axes. Archers use Holo-tech bows that fire light-projectiles.
Defense: "Brute" units carry heavy Holo-shields that can withstand massive kinetic impacts. In Frada, the Glass Bastion utilizes massive-scale shielding to protect the government.
Stealth: Elite Fradan "Striker Units" use adaptive stealth systems to bend light, rendering the wearer nearly invisible.
Medical: Combat medics use specialized frequencies to heal wounds, replacing magical healing.
Lower-output technology is available to the general citizenry. These devices are strictly regulated and cannot be modified for combat.
Infrastructure: Powers the hover-rail transit systems and stabilizes bridges.
Daily Utility: Includes "pulse-tuned lights" for home illumination and basic locking mechanisms.
While Holo-tech is scientifically advanced, it is vulnerable to chaotic magical interference.
The Icogas Dead Zone: In the town of Icogas (Republic of Oredsy), an ancient and unstable magic site beneath the town square renders all Holo-tech completely non-functional. Goldhelm forces cannot operate effectively in this region.
